Indian Fish Meal Exporters
Fishmeal is a nutrient-rich feed ingredient used primarily in diets for domestic animals. It is a
high protein supplement made by either cooking,
pressing, steam drying and grinding of fish.
Indian Fish meal is a rich protein source, and is used as an ingredient in feedstuff in the
aquaculture, poultry feed, pet feed, fish feed and dairy industries. We manufacture
steam sterilized fishmeal at our modern mechanized plant located on the coastal belt
of Mangalore. Most of the Raw materials used are Sardines, Mackerels , Tuna etc
Metal Detection
The visual metal pieces being present in the fish lot is removed by the metal detector while
transferring the raw meterial into the screw conveyor after washing step.
Material Transmit
The screw conveyor is used to transmit the metal free raw material evenly and
continuosly into the cooker of cooking. The Principal of conveyor is the spiral axis
evenly rotates with the reducer motor and the material goes advanced in the push of screw vane.
Cooking
As the main part of the fish meal production, the cooker is used to cook the raw material,
the cooker consists of a cylindrical crust and a spiral-axis that has steam heating device.
A steam jacketingis mounted in the crust, the spiral axis and spiral vanes on axis are hollow,
where the steam goes through. After heated by the steam in the axis, vanes and layers,raw material
is fed into the cooker from the inlet. The temparature is maintained 85 degree celcius constantly
to ensure a uniform cooking then cooked material is send to press for pressing.
Pressing
The press is the key equipment in production, cooked material is fed into a hoper
between two screws then material is squeezed steadily and pressurized. As the material
is pressed, Stick water continuosly flows out from the screen whose hole diameters varies
from 4.5 to 1mm. Thereafter the press cake is taken into the drier for fish meal and stick
water is sent into a sediment pond for fish oil preparation.
Drying
The press cake (Pressed material) is transferred through screw conveyor and continuosly
into the drier.The drier is composed of a horizontal crust, rotodisc type, with steam coils
attached to it. It shall heat the fish meal simultaneously pushing fish meal towards the outlet.
Temparature maintained 85 degree celcius constantly and steam is evenly scattered to the
heating plate by the allotter.
Pulverisation
After drying fish meal is pulverized in the grinder and made it into fish meal powder.
The pulverized fish meal is send to cooler for cooling.
Cooling
The pulverized fish meal is cooled under cooler by circulating the water
inside the coil, no contact is been taken place between water & fish meal.
Temperature of fish meal is maintained below +35 degree celcius continuously and recorded.
Packing
The cooled fish meal is weighed as per specification using calibrated
weighing balances. Weighed fish meal is packed in specified sacks made of
paper, hessian or plastics or in bulk
Storage
Fish meal is stored in ambient temperature either in sacks made
of paper,hessian or plastics, or in bulk. Fish meal does not require any
refrigerating while storage. Fish meal in bulk is sometimes palletized to
make mechanical handling easier, since it does not flow readily as a powder.
Dispatch
Fish meal is transported in sacks made of paper, hessian or plastics, or in bulk
through trucks or containers in normal ambient temperature. as per the buyer requirement
